Angel Olsen

Angel Olsen was born in St. Louis Missouri and now lives as a singer/songwriter in the city of Asheville in North Carolina. Olsen's six studio albums are: Big Time, Half Way Home, Burn Your Fire For No Witness and My Woman. I think my mother has a unique capacity to cherish children. [on the parents who had adopted her at birth as well as adopted her age 3years old] I'm a lot more enthralled by their early years due to our decades-long differences. More than any other kid in my generation, I would like to understand what it must have been like to grow up in the 1930s and 1950s. Life in the private. In April 2021, Olsen declared herself gay. In 2022 Olsen announced that her marriage with her lover Adele Thibodeaux had ended and she was in a relationship with for a long time with musician Meg Duffy for a few weeks in 2020. Olsen revealed on social media that she had been gay since the start of 2021. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Olsen began performing in the city's cafes during her teenage years, eventually expanding her repertoire and gaining access to the community of artists who share similar views. In 2006 she moved to Chicago and worked with singer-songwriter from California Emmett Kel, who is part of the Cairo Gang. The album she released prior to that All Mirrors from 2019 featured darker, gothic-sounding synth-rock with an affecting excursion into the orchestral genre of pop. Big Time, the first Olsen album to sing consciously of a sexually ambiguous desire, belongs to music that is a part of an established tradition of Country. It makes sense.
